About our services
The Mad 4 My Dog passion is to teach people that dogs have a perspective too, and if we try to understand that perspective, we can communicate with them more effectively. It’s all about living together in the best way for everyone involved- human and canine alike!
In Mad 4 My Dog training programs, the emphasis is placed on learning how to communicate with dogs. We will use common basic tools such as SIT, DOWN, & STAY as vehicles to establish a language between our two species. Your dog will look to you for guidance and reassurance. Your relationship will be enhanced in a way you would have never expected from a training class.
We only use DOG FRIENDLY techniques and equipment, so we will not use anything which will cause your dog pain or fear. Pain and deprivation are not the types of motivators used in M4MD programs.
One of the Mad 4 My Dog missions is to create a better quality of life for pet dogs in our society, which will result in a better quality of life for the dog parents as well. You will have an enriched relationship with your companion through mutual understanding.

The household Madalyn runs consists of 2 teenagers and a mix of Great Danes, Sighthounds, Toy Poodles, and Chihuahuas. It makes a lot of people feel better to know she does and has lived through your struggles with family & dogs!
Reaching more people every day to spread the word about humane and positive training for dogs is truly a dream come to fruition and Madalyn wants to THANK EVERYONE for coming along for the ride... or more appropriately, the "walk".

Is it about DOMINANCE or "Alpha Dogs?" M4MD says...
The recommendation of the Amercian Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior is "that veterinarians not refer
clients to trainers or behavior consultants who coach and advocate dominance hierarchy theory...". So the answer is NO, it's NOT dominance! There's A LOT more going on with your dog's behavior, so don't pigeon-hole him with dangerous labels! CLICK HERE for more information and veterinary behaviorists recommendations.
