M4MD can do a LOAL CONTROL Evaluation for your dog! Here are the steps you need to take:
- Go to the LOAL WEBSITE (www.loveonaleash.org) and review their process for certification, and print out the Application Packet for Dogs under Forms/Guides. Read through the entire packet and make sure you understand it and are ready for evaluation.
- Make sure your dog can perform all the skills and test on the CONTROL EVALUATION. You can get all the training you need in M4MD classes & focus sessions, or you can train on your own or elsewhere. As long as your dog can do the eval with NO TREATS and NO pinch, prong, or e-collars of any kind.
- Request an evaluation by filling out the following online form: https://forms.gle/eRDKYLyezm8NZ1dp7
- THEN you will be ready to do your 10 supervised visits within the next year to become a fully certified LOAL Therapy Dog Team! All the info is online on the LOAL website.
