Connection, Cooperation & Control™ Class
Madalyn is a certified CCC-CI Trainer!
The Connection, Cooperation & Control™ Course: Solving the Puzzle of Relationship™
Dog training generally focuses on teaching dogs specific behaviors, but forgets to include the relationship, communication and connection. Without those key ingredients, you end up with a dog who knows “stuff” like SIT, DOWN, STAY but still drags you here and there, tuning you out and sometimes just disconnecting. Sound familiar?
Distraction is a common problem for pet owners and professional dog trainers. The See Spot Grin CCC training system bridges the gap between training at home and in public places to keep the dog engaged and cooperative while the rest of the world happens around him.
See Spot Grin’s Connection, Cooperation & Control course focuses on the ingredients that create a strong relationship, like handler body language and intent, teaching dogs how to ask permission before dashing off or dragging you around. Best of all, this training system offers the opportunity to train the way real life happens – without a bait bag or treats in the handler’s pocket!
See Spot Grin’s training system uses food reward puzzles to offer the dog a richer experience, enhancing motivation, an eagerness to continue training, and making it easier to teach behavior and cooperation. Studies have shown that dogs wag their tails more when solving a problem and are more eager to repeat the experience than when they are simply given a reward for compliance.
Whether your dog’s just a Friendly Freddy, a Distracted Daisy, or even a Reactive Roger, you can have the joyful, cooperative and connected relationship that you want with your dog. Fans report immediate shifts in connection and cooperation after just one lesson! Great for puppies and adult dogs. Ideal for those adolescent dogs who may have mailed their brains to another planet.

LEVEL DESCRIPTIONS
Level 1 focuses on learning to solve two food puzzles and using them to start building some significant teamwork. The dog will learn to look at you for explicit permission, that connecting and cooperating with you has value and matters, and how to balance his/her arousal in a way that keeps him thoughtful, productive, and aware of you!
Level 2 focuses on working with visual, auditory and olfactory distraction and building connection duration, Dogs learn to solve another puzzle, and new type of remote reward is introduced. The dogs love as much as the puzzles if not more! Given the challenge to complete a Connection Course off lead almost all of my students took the challenge and were quite pleased with the results!
Level 3 focuses on incorporating social distraction, tasks that require the human side of the team to split their attention both physically and mentally, and other remote rewards that'll keep dogs wondering what their handler will come up with next! All of the distractions used in Level 2 Class will be incorporated, and EVEN MORE! The connection you have built thus far will be solidified even further in this final 6-week CCC class.

Here is what our clients say about CCC Class
"Bruce has gotten a lot better about listening in new situations, and what we've benefited from the most is learning to read each other and us being aware of his wants and needs. We are able to be more proactive in high stress situations rather than punish him for 'acting bad'.
CCC has helped us build a solid working relationship for every other thing we do like learning new skills/ tricks and being in new places. We are still working on walking on a loose leash, and we have a ways to go, BUT, he checks in much more frequently while on walks. This class was great as it gave us as humans insight as to what our dog might be thinking or feeling so we can respond accordingly rather than responding how we've decided we want to with him. I literally recommend this class to everyone.
Also whenever we go places, people comment on how well behaved he is in many situations and places. We try to take him to as many new places as we ca so it is not so exciting or scary, and it seems to be helping- as we try to just 'relax' and hang out at a new place. It has a kind of cyclical effect as the better he behaves at new places, the more we want to bring him new places and he is rewarded for being good." - Heather
